A note on feedback
FactionBuilder is a free, side project that I build and maintain in my spare time, not a commercial product with a support team behind it. I read every piece of feedback and genuinely appreciate it, but turnaround isn't guaranteed. Some things get fixed same-day; others sit for weeks depending on complexity and what else is going on. Thanks in advance for your patience.
How to give feedback that's easy to act on
The more specific you are, the faster I can turn it into a fix. When possible, include:
- Which builder and version DZC or Pillage, and the version number shown in the header (e.g. "DZC v0.27"). This tells me exactly what code you were looking at.
- What you did the steps that led to the issue (e.g. "added a Broadsword Squad, then tried to attach a Sabre Transport").
- What you expected vs. what happened especially for rules questions: point to the specific rule, stat card, or errata entry if you can. "This unit's points cost seems wrong" is harder to act on than "the Broadsword Squad shows 145pts but the stat card lists 150pts."
- Screenshots a quick screenshot of the screen in question saves a lot of back-and-forth, especially for display or layout issues.
- Browser/device only needed if something looks broken or won't load (e.g. "Safari on iPhone").
Bug reports, rules corrections, and feature ideas are all welcome. You don't need to sort them into categories, just describe what happened.
